On the Train – Story 101

Rub my shoulders trying to look like I hadn’t been staring. She rewards me with a smile. I return it. Now I look creepy. Look at the floor. No! Look at your phone. Wait, we’re underground. The window, yeah look out the window. Black, punctuated with random lights. Now I look like an even bigger freak. Enjoying a thoroughly boring view. It’s been six weeks of this routine. She’s beautiful, looks normal and reads Conan Doyle. We haven’t even shared two words and yet somehow I know. She’s my perfect woman. Today. This is it. Oh, she got off the train!

Other Worlds – Responding to the Telegraph

In this special episode of our Podcast, Dave, Helen, Martin and Sean respond to an OpEd published on the Telegraph’s website: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/no-self-respecting-adult-should-buy-comics-or-watch-superhero-mo/

The Telegraph’s self-titled ‘thinking man’ claimed that no self-respecting adult should buy comics, or watch superhero movies. Well, as writers we had something to say in response. It’s fair to say that we disagreed, and so we got together to explain why.

What do you think? Why not tell us in the comments, or if you have further questions, tips on stories or subject that we should discuss, you could e-mail us at podcast@twfproductons.co.uk

Get Published

The Writers Forum is once again opening up to submissions from writers wanting to get published. Whilst we’re not currently publishing physical books, we are published eBooks. The relatively low cost to produce combined with the ability to easily distribute them without distributors and retailers taking over 70% of cover price means that we feel that the best way forward for us to publish is by publishing eBooks.

We offer a very simple deal. If we like your pitch and feel that we can successfully promote your book, we’ll publish your eBook and you will get 75% on the income generated on the book. TWF takes just 25% to cover operating costs. It’s that simple.

So if we’ve got you interested and wanting to know more, why not pop over to our ‘Get Published’ page and find out a bit more?
